Kendra FoleyKendra Foley: Chair

Kendra Foley was born and raised in Watertown. She attended the Watertown Public Schools, graduating from Watertown High School in 1995 and Boston College in 1999. Committed to community service, she joined Teach for America for two years before heading back to Boston in 2001 to pursue a career in public service and advocacy. Having worked on multiple statewide political campaigns and serving for eight years in the Patrick Administration, she now has a client base in the areas of education policy, non-profit development and political fundraising. She lives in Watertown with her husband Tim and their three children.

Lilly Rayman-Reed Lily Rayman-Read, Vice Chair

Lily Rayman-Read began serving on the Watertown School Committee in 2018, and is currently serving as the Chair of the Buildings and Grounds subcommittee. A teacher with 10 years of experience in the classroom, she currently teaches 10th Grade US History at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. Prior to her tenure at CRLS, she taught 12th grade English at the Community School for Social Justice in the South Bronx of New York. She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University with a double major in Sociology and History, and her Masters of Education from Harvard University. Her husband serves in the Watertown Fire Department, and her two children both attend Watertown Public Schools.

Amy DonohueAmy Donohue: Secretary

Amy Donohue was elected to the School Committee in 2017. Amy and her husband John have four very busy children (ages 16,14,12 and 7). Professionally, Amy has been a certified occupational therapist assistant for over 20 years in public school systems, including 12 years in the Watertown Public Schools. Amy was a member of the Watertown Education Foundation for over 12 years, serving as President for 7 years. She has been an active member of the PTO at the Lowell school for many years. Amy is enthusiastic to continue to be part of all aspects of our schools and to make a positive impact for our Watertown families.

Lisa C updated Lisa Capoccia

 Lisa as elected to the School Committee in 2023. Her  daughter attends Watertown High School and began her education as a pre-K student at Lowell elementary. Lisa’s early  involvement with WPS came through her connection to the dedicated staff from Lowell Extended Day Program. Since   then, Lisa has participated in the Lowell and middle school   Diversity and Belonging Councils, the Anti-Bias Coalition, WPS candidate screening committees, and other WPS and broader community health initiatives. Currently, Lisa works as a school social worker at Oak Hill Middle School in Newton. This role follows an earlier career in public health, including suicide prevention. Lisa has a bachelor of arts (Spanish) from University of Massachusetts, a master of public health from Boston University, and a master of arts in counseling from Lesley University.

Rachel Kay was elected to the School Committee in 2023. Professionally, Rachel has been working in the education field for over 25 years. Rachel has a ScB in Applied Mathematics from Brown University and a PhD from Boston College in Educational Research, Measurement, and Evaluation. Rachel has worked across the grade spectrum in teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and research. Currently Rachel is employed at MIT's Admissions Office as Director of Research and Data Analysis. Rachel has lived in Watertown with her son since 2015.

  Jessica Middlebrook

 Jessica was elected to the School Committee in 2021.    She has lived in Watertown since 2009 with her husband David, an English and Film teacher for Newton Public Schools, and two children who attend the Cunniff School. Jessica grew up overseas, the child of international educators, and graduated high school in Osaka, Japan. She holds a Master’s Degree in Risk and Prevention and a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Adjustment Counseling from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has been a school mental health professional for over 15 years and currently works as a School Adjustment Counselor at the Martin Luther King Jr. School in Cambridge. Jessica has been a member of the Cunniff School Site Council, the Cunniff Diversity and Belonging Council, and the WPS Anti-Bias Coalition.  She is honored to have the opportunity to serve as a School Committee member.
